It’s an exciting time to join our business, we are transforming as a business and we have a big change agenda – we need an experienced People & Capability Business Partner to guide our leaders through this time.  This position will be based at the Target Store Support Office in Williams Landing, and will focus on supporting Technology, Finance and Property across both Target and Kmart businesses.

What will you do?

Reporting to the Head of People & Capability, this role will be responsible for operational and strategic people advice to leaders and team members whilst delivering the key people initiatives to support the overall business strategy.

Other key responsibilities may include:

  • Partner with leaders across Technology, Finance and Property to drive people initiatives to support the overall people strategy
  • Work collaboratively with People & Capability specialist teams to deliver key People & Capability initiatives including remuneration review, performance appraisal process, workforce planning, talent management and learning, annual engagement survey and development initiatives
  • Lead and project manage people initiatives and changes including restructures
  • Be able to operate autonomously and represent the Kmart Group within Target
  • Drive a collaboration culture across the Kmart Group to ensure team members operate as one

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Human Resources or other relevant field with a minimum of 5 years’ Generalist HR experience in a high volume, fast paced environment.  Demonstrated capability in developing P&C strategies and plans that are aligned to the business strategy is essential as is demonstrated ability to lead and deliver projects with the ability to develop and influence others along with well-developed knowledge of work-place relations principles.
