What will you do?

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Analyst to join our Remuneration & Benefits Team based in our Store Support Office in Williams Landing in West Melbourne.

This role is responsible for managing all aspects of HR Reporting and leveraging business intelligence systems and HCM systems to provide accurate insights and reporting for the People & Capability team and wider business.  The HR Business Analyst will interpret business / management needs, scope requirements and liaise with a variety of stakeholders (including IT) in order to design and build optimum solutions, deliver metrics and evolve to sophisticated and intuitive analytics and insights.

Other key responsibilities may include:

  • Manage and deliver people reporting across the Target business, ensuring it is accurate and relevant to support decision making and the overall business strategy 
  • Manage BI administration and integrity across systems and continuously refine and enhance key HR metrics, cubes, dimensions and reporting facts
  • Liaise with IT on data warehouse and other HR system enhancements and UAT
  • Provide training and act as SME for all HR reporting products
  • Manage HR systems and applications including identifying business needs, scoping requirements and design and build optimum solutions as required by the business
  • Support the delivery of HR and business projects and ad hoc reporting as required 
  • Lead the Target vision, strategy and values within the team and across the organization

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification with strong working experience in data analysis, BI and data warehousing.  High proficiency in MS Excel (i.e. pivot tables, v/h lookup functions, macros, advanced formulas and advanced charting functions), ability to gather, interpret and document functional requirements for review / reporting and translate to technical requirements with strong verbal and written communication skills.

A working knowledge of SAP and sound experience in SQL query writing and tools would be a benefit.
