We are seeking Junior Planners to join our Merchandise Team based in our Store Support Office in Williams Landing in West Melbourne. 

What will you do?

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Planner to join our organisation and gain knowledge from the ground up within our Merchandise function.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to strategically manage and plan merchandise to drive forecast accuracy and stock productivity.

Other key responsibilities may include:

  • Independently manage own portfolio of the range with support from the Planner to:
    • Deliver an accurate forecast in line with commercial critical path milestones
    • Manage inventory health and stock capacity to agreed KPIs
    • Work collaboratively with the Buyer to develop effective line plans and create a category assortment that is well balanced to deliver strategy
  • Implement a clear pricing strategy architecture to fit within our Good/Better/Best strategy
  • Delivery of critical path milestones to meet launch dates
  • Ensure consistent use of approved Target assortment process

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Finance, Operations or Business with some exposure to merchandise planning in a retail environment.  Demonstrated understanding of merchandise planning principles is essential as is previous experience in stock intake management, working knowledge of sales forecasts management, and price event management exposure along with ability to build strong working relationships and solid financial, numerical and analytical skills.
